Always Shining, Prizmmy

Prizmmy (プリズミー☆; stylized as Prizmmy☆) was a Japanese dance and vocal unit under Avex.

History[]

2011-2012: Aurora Dream, Prism Mates and Debut[]

Prizmmy was originally called Prism Mates who were a trainee trio (Reina, Mia, Karin) that practiced singing, dancing and modelling. They would appear at the end of the anime Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream for a minute or two to show how much progress they have made. In each lesson, they would get trained by different teachers. Their aim was to become a Prism Queen and if they managed to get that goal, they would be able to debut.

When they were finally able to reach their goal, Akkina (the host) told them that they were getting another member. Ayami was announced into the group and their name changed into Prizmmy.

They then debuted with Everybody's Gonna Be Happy and it was used as the final ending for the anime.

It was then announced that there was going to be a 2nd season which was based on the anime versions of Prizmmy. This season was called Pretty Rhythm: Dear My Future and their 2nd single Dear My Future ~Mirai no Jibun e~ was used as the first opening.

2013-2014: Dear my Future, Graduation and New Member[]

Ayami Sema announced that she was going to graduate from Prizmmy because she needed to focus on her studies. She graduated from Prizmmy on March 30, 2014 and a last live was held for her called "Ayami Graduation Live ~Dear My Future". On April 5, 2014, Hina Miyazaki who was the leader of Prism Mates at the time, was announced to be the new member of Prizmmy but she would be continuing her activities with Prism Mates. On May 6, 2015 Hina graduated from Prism Mates to focus on being a Prizmmy member.

2015-2017: New Prizmmy, DigitaReal and Disbandment[]

When "New Prizmmy" was created, they took on the theme of the "DigitaReal" concept.

On December 9, 2016 Prizmmy announced in their Showroom that they had decided to end their activities as Prizmmy and Prism Mates due to wanting to focus on solo activities. Their last album Prizmmy THE BEST!! was released in February 22, 2017. Their last live was held on March 30, 2017 and it was called "Last Live: Hello My Future". They officially disbanded the next day on March 31, 2017.
